* Never send anyone any money unless you are using a secure method i.e. PAYPAL 
 
* Never give out personal details such as, bank details and pin numbers, credit card details and anything that could jepodise your security 
 
* If your unsure of a sale or purchase or it seems to good to be true contact the seller/buyer and ask questions before you commit. 
 
* Never use transfer services such as western union and money gram. PayPal is recommended. 
 
* Never compromise your safety for any sale or purchase. 
 
* When buying or selling its advised for your safety to buy and sell locally so that you can meet the buyer/seller in person. Try to ensure that someone is with you and/or let a friend or family member know where you are going. If possible meet the buyer/seller in a public place and preferably in daylight. 
 
Buying and Renting Homes/Office spaces:
 
* Always view properties and office spaces before paying any money including overseas properties. If someone is not willing to give you further information or refuse to meet with you to discuss the property. 
 
* For viewing always ensure someone is with you and preferably view in daylight. 
 
* Ask lots of questions about the property, a genuine landlord or agent will advise you of details 
 
* You may like to consider renting from landlords/agents who are members of professional accreditation schemes such as ARLA, NALs and NLA 
 
* If you are renting from a landlord directly (i.e. not through and agent) you can ask for proof of ownership before handing over money. 
 
* Only give personal details such as, passport photocopies, credit card and bank details for payment of rents when you have met the landlord/agent in person and are happy with the tenancy agreement. 
 
* Ask for a copy of the tenancy agreement and ensure you have read all of the details before signing. 
 
* Use common sense, if something sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. 
 
* Be aware of landlords/agents who ask you to use Money gram or western union transfers for rents or to prove you have enough funds. If in doubt contact EZPEEZE or ask the landlord or agent for more details. In unsure DO NOT PROCEED.
